Position Purpose

In this position, you will drive and foster a consistent, competitive, and equitable compensation landscape by assuming holistic responsibility for FME's global incentive programs.

You will manage the short and long-term incentive programs (STI & LTI), including but not limited to developing and refining programs, guidelines and policies, end-to-end management of these and improvement of related recurring processes and to ensure appropriate target-oriented communication.

Furthermore, you will manage and lead various projects within Executive Compensation and collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders such as HR, Finance, Legal or our external providers and be the central point of contact for HR Business Partners and Managers / Employees on all related aspects.

Key Duties

  • Refining and developing the short- and long-term incentive programs, e.g., in terms of design and target setting as well as implementation and management of the associated processes, in line with the regulatory framework and legal requirements and in alignment with all relevant internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proactively identifying opportunities for continuous improvement of the efficiency and effectiveness of FME's short and long-term incentive programs and related processes.
  • Provide guidance on the end-to-end management of the processes associated with our annual bonus plans (STI) and LTI grant planning and payout process (in Workday), ensuring implementation in all relevant countries (in collaboration with HR business partners and Managers), including communication.
  • Work collaboratively with Finance on the definition and implementation of effective costing models associated with the short- and long-term incentive programs and anticipated changes, to ensure expenses are transparently planned.
  • Serve as primary subject matter expert for short- and long-term incentive programs, providing expertise and advice to HR Business Partners and the broader organization as required.
  • Continuously monitor trends and business needs, drive and lead initiatives to adapt strategies and standards to changing requirements.
  • Manage and lead various Executive Compensation projects in line with the Global Total Rewards and Global Human Resources strategy, as required.

Job Requirements

  • Advanced degree highly preferred. Bachelors degree required in Economics, Finance, HR, Legal, Psychology, Social Sciences or similar relevant field
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience – ideally in top tier consulting companies or publicly traded company with a global footprint (ideally incl. US presence) – in one or more of the following disciplines: Total Rewards, Compensation Management, Short- and Long-Term Variable Incentive Programs / Processes, Sales Incentive Plans
  • Knowledge in state-of-the-art incentive design for multinational companies with matrix organization
  • Proven track record in (large scale) global project management
  • Experience in developing presentations and other communication materials for use with executives
  • Experience with data management and an understanding of data transformation and visualization techniques to drive insights and data-driven decision making
  • Further relevant qualification or certification in compensation, project management or similar advantageous
  • Advanced MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word
  • Workday experience advantageous
  • Common grading or benchmarking tools advantageous
  • Fluent in English; German is a plus, but not required
  • Analytical skills (quantitative and qualitative)
  • Project management skills

  • Proactive with a hands-on mentality and solution-oriented work style
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills, including interculturally
  • Ability to communicate effectively, creating strong partnerships with other teams and team members, without direct reporting lines
  • High degree of reliability, ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritize multiple deliverables and responsibilities, to deliver on time
  • Discreet and able to deal with highly sensitive data and topics
  • Willingness to travel (occasionally, as required)
