Senior Manager Electronics Engineering (m/w/d)

Your task:

  • Disciplinary and technical management of employees in an Electronics Engineering specialist group in the Global Hardware Engineering division
  • Implementation of personnel requirements and cost planning
  • Coaching and further development of employees
  • Planning and controlling employee deployment within the matrix organization
  • Independent design of workflows, structures and decision-making processes, including the introduction, further development and safeguarding of internal standards within electronics development
  • Securing and expanding the expertise of the specialist group in areas such as digital and analog technology, system architecture, microcontroller technology, sensor evaluation and embedded software
  • Testing and evaluating new technologies with regard to their applicability in medical technology
  • Assuming end-to-end responsibility for development and change projects
  • Advice/support with regard to risk analysis and risk assessments
  • Assistance in improving manufacturability and measures to reduce costs
  • Technical evaluation/expertise in the context of change processes
  • Collaboration with Purchasing on 2nd source, supplier changes and cost-downs
  • Monitoring quality problems and component discontinuations to ensure delivery capability
  • Coordination of cooperation between different locations and engineering units

Your profile:

  • Completed scientific or technical university degree (diploma, master's degree) with several years of professional experience
  • Several years of professional experience in the field of electronics development, preferably for medical products
  • Sound knowledge of hardware development and good basic technical understanding.
  • Knowledge of hardware-related software development and sound disciplinary and technical leadership skills desirable
  • Experience in the technical support of medical devices required
  • Very good knowledge of German and English
  • Willingness to travel occasionally on national or international business
