Xenios is seeking a skilled Facility and Maintenance Engineer to join our dynamic team at our Stolberg plant. You will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of our manufacturing facility and equipment. This role plays a critical part in maintaining a safe, compliant, and productive work environment.

Tasks

  • Set up, operate, maintain and shutting down machinery according to FMC company procedures.
  • Develop and execute maintenance plans, schedules, and preventive maintenance programs for all equipment and facility systems.
  • Conduct regular inspections of production machinery, mechanical systems, and building infrastructure to identify and resolve issues proactively.
  • Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and breakdowns, coordinating repairs and performing hands-on maintenance when required.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that all facility systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and safety systems, are operating optimally and comply with regulatory standards.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors, contractors, and suppliers for maintenance services and equipment upgrades.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, including SOPs, maintenance logs, and equipment manuals.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives/projects to enhance equipment reliability, efficiency, and safety.
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable standards, guidelines and laws (DGUV V3, fire protection etc).
  • Training of employees.

Profile

Your personality is characterized by a high level of drive, positive mindset and energy. You are self-motivated, structured, and goal oriented. The successful candidate is a team player, has a strong attention to detail, and is committed to quality & safety.

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Facilities Management, or related field.
  • Proven experience in facility and maintenance engineering within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Experience in the field of pure media and GMP is desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical systems, HVAC, and facility maintenance best practices.
  • Proficiency in using maintenance management software and computer-aided design tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive and detail-oriented approach.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills in German and English, both written and verbal.
